"...an unbelievable multiple orgasm climax."
**** Q magazine, April 1999
Raga Janasammohini - a tranquil evening raga of serene and liquid beauty. A newly composed piece from the virtuoso of the santoor (a trapezoid-shaped instrument of the hammered dulcimer family), an instrument rare in the Indian tradition. In the past three decades, Shiv Kumar Sharma has established a lineage of disciples including his son, Rahul, who is featured in this recording. Both father and son play the duet or 'jugalbandi', accompanied by Shafaat Ahmed Khan on tabla and Manorama Sharma on tanpura. Produced by John Leckie, the album was recorded at Real World Studios during the 1998 Real World Recording Week.

Shivkumar Sharma : Sampradaya - CD
A tranquil evening raga of serene and liquid beauty from Pandit Shivkumar Sharma, the Indian virtuoso of the Santoor (the hammered Indian dulcimer that he popularised in the West). It's a newly composed work and sees the master accompanied by his son Rahul Sharma on second Santoor, Shafaat Ahmed Khan on tabla and Manorama Sharma on tanpura. The Real World engineers surpassed themselves on this one. A classic.
