Blind Boys Sing The Praises of Sam Cooke

Aretha Franklin, Elvis Costello and the Dixie Hummingbirds will join the Blind Boys on Nov. 5 & 6 at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to salute Sam
Cooke. "A Change is Gonna Come: The Life and Music of Same Cooke" is the 10th annual installment of the Rock Hall's American Music Masters series.

Blind Boys Play Katrina Benefit

The Blind Boys have just confirmed their performance at "Gospel Angels," a live, nationally televised benefit concert to raise money for the people torn from their homes by Hurricane Katrina. The benefit will be held on Sept. 22 at Atlanta's Centennial Olympic Park and will be broadcast on the Gospel Music Channel, the "i" network (formerly the Pax Network), and XM
Satellite Radio. The show will be hosted by CeCe Winans and also include performances by Third Day, Natalie Grant, Nicole Mullen, Barlow Girls and
others.

Yungchen Lhamo Sings for the UN at the Royal Albert Hall

Tibetan singer Yungchen Lhamo will perform at the Royal Albert Hall on October 16 to promote the UN Millennium Development Goals. Yungchen will join a diverse range of artists including Hugh Maskela, Steve Harley, The Chieftans, The Dhol Foundation and Yothu Yindi will come together under the banner of 'Music To Unite Nations'

Los De Abajo Tour Europe this Autumn!

LDA have a reputation as one of the most exciting live bands from Central America and a festival favourite with their high energy blend of ska, punk, hip hop and mariachi!

Los De Abajo Find a New Home on Real World Records

The dynamic Mexican collective will release their new album on September 26 on Real World Records. Mexico City's mezcla of ska, punk, mesitzo, hip hop, mariachi and rock have created their best album yet in colloboaration with producers Temple of Sound. Iarla Launches New album at Real World Studios

Iarla O Lionaird finished a week of rehearsing his new band with a live performance on the afternoon of August 8 at Real World Studios. This was the first outing for the band which features Graham Henderson (keyboards/accordion), Steve Jones (guitars) and Liam Bradley (drums/percussion). In front a small audience of guests from the media and his record company this was a wonderful informal lauch for this new album 'Invisible Fields' which will be released on August 22. Extracts from the afternoon concert which took place at Real World Studios Big Room will appear on Iarla's website shortly.
