We've just launched a diverse set of playlists on our Apple Music Curator profile. Whether you want a fresh mix of Real World catalogue favourites, brand new music, or something a bit more specific, there will be something here for you.
Each of the playlists feature music from the Real World catalogue alongside music we love from other labels as well.
We'll be refreshing these playlists pretty often, and from time to time we'll be serving up guest-curated mixes from artists and friends with great musical tastes, so keep coming back.
A new video from Sidestepper has just dropped.
Check out this fantastic live performance of the track Lover, recorded live in the studio in Bogotá. No overdubs, no edits, just vocals, bass and tambores!
The original version of Lover can be found on the Sidestepper album Supernatural Love.

Real World Records are delighted to attend Mozambique Music Meeting this week. It is the first Showcase Festival in Mozambique. An annual event that aims to boost the dissemination and promotion of Mozambican music in particular and arts and culture in general - It will be a festival and a Music Market simultaneously, incorporating other elements of Mozambique culture: it will celebrate cultural diversity through music, dance, fine arts, photography, food, and crafts. This initiative not only aims to put Mozambique on the Map of World cultural events but also to promote Mozambican music, local artists, stimulate and raise the level of quality of local musicians.
Real World and WOMAD discovered the band Ghorwane back in the early 1990s. In 1991 Ghorwane recorded in the Wood Room at Real World Studios. As the tragedy of the civil war in Mozambique was finally drawing to an end (peace arrived when the Frelimo Government and Renamo guerrillas reached a settlement in 1993) Ghorwane were celebrating traditional Mozambican rhythms in a fresh modern way while the themes of their songs reflected the struggle and tragedy of the lives of ordinary people. The injection of life they shot into the stagnant music scene, and their subsequent success, have inspired other bands to take a similar route.
As we get close to the end of the year there's still a couple of chances to experience the wonderful 9Bach live.
On Friday 8 December they play at London's Cadogan Hall alongside Moulettes. It should prove to be a special night for those close to the capital so please do try and join us if you can.
The following night, 9 December, the band will also play an end-of-year homecoming set at Neuadd Ogwen in Bethesda. Perfect!

The November release on Bowers & Wilkins Society of Sound comes from Mammal Hands. Their captivating, ethereal and majestic album Shadow Work incorporates a disparate array of influences: drawing on spiritual jazz, north Indian, folk and classical music to create something inimitably their own.
The band (saxophonist Jordan Smart, pianist Nick Smart and drummer and percussionist Jesse Barrett) hail from Norwich, one of Britain's most isolated and most easterly cities, and that's perhaps why they have forged their own path away from the musical mainstream to develop a unique sound collaboratively constructed by their powerful group dynamic.
