Les Amazones d’Afrique live at Real World Studios available on Qwest TV

Les Amazones d'Afrique's full length concert, filmed in The Big Room at Real World Studios in January 2020, is now available on demand via Quincy Jones' streaming platform Qwest TV.

The concert captures the band on the UK launch tour for their second album, Amazones Power, and features the band’s core live vocalists Fafa Ruffino, Mamani Keïta, Niariu and Kandy Guira alongside their band: Nadjib Benbella (DJ), Franck Baya (drums) and Thierry Fournel (guitar).

You also can watch the band’s live version of ‘Timbuktu’ from this show on YouTube. Like many artists, Les Amazones d’Afrique had a large tour of European venues and festivals to promote their new album, which has been postponed. Plans are in place for the tour to resume in Spring/Summer 2021, where fans can get the full Les Amazones d’Afrique live experience.

Earlier this week, NPR Music selected Amazones Power as one of their 25 favourite albums of 2020 so far.
