République Amazone released today

The critically acclaimed debut album by Les Amazones d'Afrique is released today.

The all-female collective of west African musicians features Angélique Kidjo, Kandia Kouyaté, Mamani Keita, Mariam Doumbia, Mariam Koné, Massan Coulibaly, Mouneissa Tandina, Nneka, Pamela Badjogo and Rokia Koné.

The album is a blend of modern west African music, with production from Liam Farrell (Mbongwana Star) and a strong campaigning message for gender equality.

République Amazone is available on CD and coloured vinyl LP as well as to download and stream from the usual outlets.
