The gifted cantaora Estrella Morente belongs to one of Spain's true flamenco dynasties. She was born in Las Gabias, in the province of Granada, to Andalusian music legend Enrique Morente and dancer Aurora Carbonell.
Her uncles are guitarist Antonio Carbonell and cantaor José Carbonell, and her grandfather is the legendary guitarist Montoyita.
Her descent from this illustrious flamenco family has influenced her musical upbringing completely. She has been immersed and has artistically matured in the rich, traditional world of flamenco from a very early age.
The long-awaited debut album by Cantaora Estrella Morente comprises traditional songs adapted by her legendary father, Enrique Morente, and features some of the best musicians Spain has to offer.
